Reading e-books on an e-reader
Transferring e-books to an e-reader is a bit complicated since it requires a computer as well as an Adobe account. This is required because the e-book has to be downloaded and authenticated before it is transferred to the e-reader.
Follow the steps below to do this.
- Follow the instructions Getting started with Biblio on a computer
- If you don't already have an Adobe account, go to the following page to create one: Create or update your Adobe account
- Download and install Adobe Digital Editions
- Open Adobe Digital Editions and authorize your computer:
- Click the tab "Help"
- Click the button "Authorize Computer..."
- Enter your Adobe username and password
- Click the button "Authorize"
- Go to the website biblio.app
- Find the book that you want to read
- Click the button "Exportera" ("Export")
- Click the button "Exportera till Adobe DRM-kompatibla enheter" ("Export to Adobe DRM compatible device")
- Open the downloaded file in Adobe Digital Editions:
- Open Adobe Digital Editions
- Click the tab "File"
- Click the button "Add to library"
- Find your downloaded file (the filename ends in ".acsm"), select it and click "Open"
- Connect your e-reader to the computer. It should pop up as an icon in the left hand panel in Adobe Digital Editions
- Transfer the book to the e-reader by dragging it from the library-view to the e-reader symbol.
